How to choose

  • You just need text scrolling now: CuePrompter and Reframely both start with a paste box and no account.
  • You film through teleprompter glass: you'll want mirror mode and a remote so you aren't reaching for the screen. Reframely's rig presets set mirror, text size and reading line for common rigs.
  • You stream: look for an overlay or browser-source output. Speakflow lists Overlay on its paid plan; Reframely's OBS output is free.
  • You run a team or studio: Speakflow's collaboration and EasyPrompter's operator and multi-display tools are worth a look.
  • You want voice scrolling: Reframely Pro uses your browser's speech recognition, from $10 for 7 days; Speakflow's free plan includes a limited amount of Flow.

Where Reframely is different

  • A second phone becomes the remote with a 7-letter code, and the connection goes direct between devices when the network allows.
  • Presets for Glide Gear, Neewer, Desview, Elgato, Parrot, Leeventi and other rigs.
  • Scripts stay in your browser; there's no account and nothing to upload.

Where it's not the best fit: Reframely doesn't record video or sync scripts between devices through an account. If those matter most, a paid app such as Teleprompter.com or Speakflow may suit you better.
