A teleprompter on any device
Reframely runs in the browser, so it works on devices that teleprompter apps often skip.
Which device should you read from?
Read from the screen closest to the camera lens. On a phone or laptop that films you, that is the device itself: put the reading line at the top of the screen, just under the camera, and your eyes stay near the lens. With a teleprompter rig, the script runs on a phone or tablet under the glass and Reframely mirrors it so it reads correctly in the reflection.
A bigger screen lets you use bigger text from further away. A phone is fine for selfie video and calls; a tablet or laptop is easier for a rig or a talk. Any of them can be the remote for another: open the same script on a second device and control the scroll from there.
Nothing to install
Reframely runs in Chrome, Edge, Safari and Firefox, including on Chromebooks and Fire tablets, where teleprompter apps are often missing. After your first visit it opens offline, and your scripts stay on the device.
Install it like an app
On iPhone and iPad, Safari's Share → Add to Home Screen opens Reframely full screen like an app. In Chrome, Edge and on Android, use the browser menu's install or Add to Home screen option; on a Mac, Safari's File → Add to Dock does the same. Installed or not, it's the same Reframely, with the same scripts.
Mixing devices
A remote doesn't have to match the screen it controls. An iPhone can run an Android tablet in a rig, a Chromebook can drive a second monitor, and a Windows laptop can send the script to a Fire tablet. Pairing works over the internet, or with no internet on a shared Wi-Fi or hotspot.
